Memorial Plaques
Personalized Memorial Plaques
You can have personalized memorial plaques made for anything that is important to you. Memorial plaques in general are used to remind those who see it of individual people as well as important historical events, like wars and the sinking of the titanic. Personalized memorial plaques, however, can be used to say anything and can be quite unique. Most of the time the person that the memorial plaque is made to commemorate has passed away. The people who loved this person and are left behind will create the plaque to keep this person fresh in their memories. The plaque can include poetry that fits the individual, personal quote from that person, or even famous quotes that person was fond of. The plaques can be made from a variety of materials, like bronze, wood and stone, just to name a few and can include die cast additions and laser etchings of that person.
Many times memorial plaques are made for deceased police officers, fire fighter, and service men and women who died in the line of duty. These kinds of personalized plaques will often include cast or etched additions like American flags, bald eagles, and the seal from the specific branch of service of which the person was a member. Personalized memorial plaques don’t even necessarily have to be for humans. Many people who consider their pets a part of the family will have commemorative plaques made to remind them of this special pet.
Photo Etched Memorial Plaques
Memorial plaques can include etched likenesses of the person they commemorate. Most often these plaques are bronze casts and the picture of the person in memoriam comes from a photograph. The plaque can be made in a variety of color combinations, from full color, to one or two highlight colors, to no color at all. The etching is achieved through a combination of laser cutting and exposure to chemicals.
