Address Plaques
House Address Plaques
Plaques can be used to mark an individual’s home and can be made to reflect the individual personalities of the people who live there. Home address plaques can be made out of a variety of materials including stone, metal, and wood. Each of these materials has a different feeling attached to them. Metal lasts virtually forever and can be much sleeker and more elegant than wood. Wood lasts a very long time as well and can be both elegant and rustic. The weathering of wood over time also adds a certain amount of personality to their homes and looks especially lovely on cottages and country estates. Stone, on the other hand, is possibly most versatile. Stone can be elegant or rustic, country or city, etched, engraved, printed, and painted and is perhaps the longest lasting and most hardwearing of any material from which an address plaque can be made.
Personalized Address Plaques
Address plaques, no matter the material, can be made into lots of different shapes, with font styles and colors to match the style of the home. Symbols can also be added to the plaques, etched, engraved, or burned into the surface, or painted or printed onto the surface. These symbols also tend to reflect the style or personality of the home and the people who live there. This could be something that the family feels represents them, like a family crest, a symbol of the family’s religion, ethnicity, or ancestry. Or it could be a simple expression of something the family likes or the region in which the home is located, for example a seashell if the home is near the ocean. Address plaques contain, in addition to any decoration, house numbers. These can be done in a variety of fonts, again to reflect the style of the home. In addition to the numbers, many address plaques bear the surname of the family that lives there, the street name, or both.

Special Light Address Plaques
These special address plaques can be placed in almost any location. They are essentially the same as other address plaques, but rather than being made from heavy metals or stone, they can be made from vinyl or ceramic so that they can be mounted on the house or on the front entry door. They can also be attached to the mailbox or mounted to a piece of wood or stone in the front yard of the home.
