You’ve got different sizes of pictures, right? And you probably want frames for some or all of them. Well, there’s good news—you can get picture frames for almost every size of picture. However, you should keep in mind that the pictures should be one of the standard sizes, such as a 5”x7” or an 8”x 10”. There are also picture frames for very large portraits and paintings. If you’ve got an abnormally shaped picture, or an exceptionally big photo, you might consider getting a frame custom made for this picture. Or, if you know that a friend is searching for a picture frame and can’t find one, you could take matters into your own hands and find one yourself, or you could even find out the dimensions of the picture and get one custom made. They make great gifts, and it’ll be a big relief for the friend!
Standard Picture Frame Sizes
There are normally standard sizes of picture frames, from wallet-sized to fairly large. You’ll most commonly find frames for these sizes of pictures (in inches): 5x7, 8x10, 81/2xll, 9x12, 11x14, 14x18, 16x20, 18x24, 20x24, 22x28, and the biggest being 24x30. For any photo smaller or larger than these dimensions, you’ll probably need a custom frame, which is not hard to find. If you wish to make your own custom frame for your picture, you can use wood, and whatever else you can find to make your own frame. The advantage of making your own frame is that it saves money, you can take as much time as you want deciding just how you want it, and you can do whatever you want with it; basically, there are no limitations.

Wallet Sized Picture Frames
Wallet sized picture frames can be harder to find. Wallet sized pictures are small; obviously they must be small enough to fit in the pocket of a wallet or purse. Most people normally don’t frame wallet-sized pictures; therefore, the frames are not as popular. If you absolutely can’t find one you want, you can get it custom made. Wallet sized frames are not too good of an idea for a gift, because if you’re giving the picture itself as well as the frame, people will usually want a larger scale picture. These should only be used as gifts when it is a last resort kind of thing.
